AMD M780V SATA Windows XP Drivers
Toshiba satellite Laptop All Model,
Resolved the problem with All Toshiba laptop Satellite models to install also XP version,
The drivers you need are the ATI SouthBridge drivers. I downloaded them to a different computer and ran the install. The install will fail because it does not detect any of the devices but it will leave the drivers folder behind. I used nLite to slipstream Windows XP SP2 into my original Windows XP install disk and nLite also has the option to include extra drivers while building the disk image. I just told it to include all of the drivers in the ATI SouthBridge package. Now I can install Windows XP SP2 with the SATA drivers all at once and I don't even have to do the F6 option to include extra drivers. I found the drivers for the M780V chipset here: http://game.amd.com/us-en/drivers_catalyst.aspx?p=xp/integratedip-xp

Hi. I have a new Toshiba Satellite L305D-SP6981A, with OS: WinVista and HW: Athlon 64x2, chipset AMD M780V, HDD 160 GB, 2 GB RAM.
I want to install winXP on it, but I can't do it because i have not the SATA driver.
I have tried installing it using ATI SouthBridge package that you indicate above, including it in a WinXP SP3 CD, using nLite program, but during the boot process the recognition of SATA drive fails again :(
I have tried other winXP flavours, which includes a lot of SATA drivers, but no did work.
I am ready for re-reinstall the winXP, but i must have the SATA driver before.
Do you have any idea/trick/suggestion?

If this doesn’t help, you will need to contact Microsoft and they can provide you with the right installation.
